the slow and steady wins the race
I've really been taking my time with Purity. With my last couple of updates, I hadn't written in a long time before, then when I wrote them, I was on a total roll. Then, for a short while afterwards, I couldn't get myself to write again. I've really got a horrible attention span when it comes to writing recently.
On that note, however, I am definitely nearing the end. Woot. I've got... like, one big thing to do still, and I'm getting pretty darn close.
I'll give you a hint: I'm hoping for more tears.
Of course, that probably won't happen except for a special few - aka me and my other friend. I practically cry thinking about it, and I'm not an overly emotional person. My friend freaked out when I told her what was happening.

My sadism is emerging again.
out of curiosity...
... does anybody out there get bored sometimes and wonder what it would be like if their story was made into a movie, or am I the only one who does that?
My earlier mentioned friend, also with the name Jessica, brought that up when she was at my house a while ago. I told her I often thought of scenes in Purity in "movie-mode". Then, on MSN, she asked which actors I thought would best portray my characters.
It was a tough decision.
After a lot, and I mean a lot of consideration, it finally hit me who could play Fane.
Richard Roxburgh!
In other words, Dracula from Van Helsing (which I'm so watching RIGHT NOW).
I adore him in Van Helsing, and he's already got experience playing sexy vampires.
I kinda forget who'd play anyone else. I couldn't think of really anyone who would be good for Caitlyn. Any thoughts?
So, the question here is, does anybody else go into "movie-mode" for their novels? If so, have you chosen actors for your characters? Feel like sharing?

As for the movie-mode, I imagine it that way with my scenes. Except for no actor is good enough for my characters. I can name a few musicians that suit my characters, but not actors/actresses. But then again I don't feed off of celebrity news, and I can barely name any off the top of my head.
aw, poor actors. What musicians then?

But the two contenders for Demetri I can think of right now would be something like Peter Steele from Type O Negative (without his ugly mustache-beard thing, ugh), or Jyrki from 69 eyes, even though Jyrki's hair varies from pic to pic...
Alexander can be portrayed by quite a few people in bands that I can't really remember right now...
And Zak's hair is the exact shade of the guitarist in White Rose Movement, if he cut it a little.
As for Cassie, I can't think right now.
Sorry for the band/musician obsession. >_<
